This iconic masterpiece is one of very early acrylic painting from Dr.Deyn.
“HI DAD!” was painted in Paris on the bedroom floor of friends when Dr. Deyn first moved to Paris.

“HI DAD!” reflects the soul of someone in trouble, who couldn't find the way out, crying his heart out for "Dad".
His underwear says "ADDICTED", his crotch is purple, sitting on a flush toilet bare foot, trying to call his "Dad", however the telephone is being held on the reverse side.

When someone needs help, it is a very difficult process to HELP out SUCCESSFULLY.
There are so many steps involved in "GETTING HELP" or "Getting someone the help they need";

1. The person needs to have INSIGHT that he's in trouble.
2. The person needs to have AWARENESS that they cannot solve this trouble on their own. When people don't have insight and awareness, the chance that the help will be successful is very low.
3. The person then needs to ACCEPT to get help. Some people can't accept the help from anyone due to their pride, prejudice, ignorant or any other causes.
4. There must be the TOOLS to get help and the TOOLS to use to solve the problem.
5. People need have ACCESS to those tools. A lot of people in our world do not have access to tools.
6. Having access to the tools is not enough, people must know HOW TO USE the tools as well.
7. Knowing how to use the tools is still not enough, people must USE IT CORRECTLY as well. Sometimes we are not educated enough to be able to use the tools we have correctly.
8. The tools must be used correctly LONG ENOUGH to solve the problem.
9. People need to be careful not to get in the same trouble again.

But if we find ourselves in troubles again, just give me a call and say "Hi, DAD!"
Daddy Deyn is here to help you.
